Seongbuk-gu to Open Three Free Water Play Areas on July 4
Odong Neighborhood, Jakseong Children's, and Kkum Nara Children's Parks
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (headed by Mayor Lee Seungro), announced on June 28 that it will operate three free water play areas this summer, allowing local residents to enjoy a cool break close to home.

View original imageThe district will open water play areas at Odong Neighborhood Park in Wolgok-dong, Jakseong Children's Park in Jangwi-dong, and Kkum Nara Children's Park in Bomun-dong from July 4 to August 30. These facilities are free for everyone to use and are expected to serve as family-friendly urban retreats during the summer.
The water play areas will be operated in six sessions per day, with each session lasting 45 minutes followed by a 15-minute break. Operations will be suspended from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for facility maintenance and water quality management, and every Monday will be designated as a regular closing day.
To ensure a safe and pleasant environment, the district is prioritizing both safety and water quality management. Each water play area will be staffed with safety personnel and operational staff, and regular water quality inspections will be conducted. In particular, the water will be completely replaced every day to enhance hygiene standards.
