Iran Claims Strike on U.S.-Linked Targets in Response to American Attack
Iran claimed to have struck targets linked to the U.S. military in response to an American attack.
According to major foreign media outlets on the 27th (local time), Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that day, "The U.S. airstrike violated the United Nations Charter and the memorandum of understanding between the two countries to end the war," while making this claim.
However, Iran did not provide specific details regarding the targets.
The Iranian side described this attack as “defensive” in nature and warned Gulf nations not to allow U.S. attacks on Iran from their territories.
With another clash occurring just nine days after the U.S. and Iran signed an agreement to end hostilities, tensions in the Middle East are rising once again.
