The Gori Nuclear Power Site will utilize 250 private taxis in Gijang County to promote local tourist attractions and nuclear power plants. Continuing the "Promoting Our Region" project, which was first introduced last year, the initiative aims to boost regional tourism and enhance understanding of nuclear power.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Site (headed by Lee Sangwook) announced on the 27th that it held a promotional material delivery ceremony for the "Promoting Our Region" project together with the Gijang County Private Taxi Association (chaired by Kang Cheoljinn) at the Gijang Gymnasium in Gijang County, Busan on the 25th.
The ceremony was attended by Nam Youngkyu, Head of External Cooperation at the Gori Nuclear Power Site, as well as Kang Cheoljinn, President of the Gijang County Private Taxi Association, and approximately 250 members.
The Gori Nuclear Power Site distributed promotional materials for both the interior and exterior of 250 private taxis operating in Gijang County. The "Promoting Our Region" project aims to raise awareness of major tourist attractions in Gijang County, including the “Eight Scenic Spots of Gijang,” and to increase public understanding of nuclear power plants by utilizing private taxis that travel throughout the Busan region. Now in its second year, the project seeks to promote local tourism resources and expand communication about nuclear power.

Nam Youngkyu, Head of External Cooperation at the Gori Nuclear Power Site, stated, "We hope to highlight Gijang’s outstanding tourism resources and contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will actively communicate with the local community to broaden understanding and consensus on nuclear power generation."
