Over 130 Bank Employees and Local Organizations Participate

The board of directors at NH Nonghyup Bank has stepped forward to support rural communities by assisting with farm work.

View original imageOn June 26, NH Nonghyup Bank announced that it had carried out a rural volunteer activity at a grape farm located in Gupo-ri, Bibong-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, together with officials from related institutions in Gyeonggi Province and employees of Gunpo Nonghyup.
The event was attended by Ham Yu-geun, Chairman of the Board of NH Nonghyup Bank, five directors, employees from the investment products and management support divisions, and about 130 people from local related organizations such as Gunpo Urban Corporation, Gunpo City Sports Council, and Gunpo Nonghyup. Participants assisted with grape bagging and environmental cleanup around the farm.
Chairman Ham stated, "It was a very meaningful experience to directly witness the challenges faced in rural areas and to work alongside farmers," adding, "NH Nonghyup Bank will continue to actively participate in supporting agriculture and rural communities, taking the lead in practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management."

Park Hyun-dong, Deputy President of the Investment Products and Management Support Division at NH Nonghyup Bank, said, "This volunteer activity was organized to provide some help to farms struggling with labor shortages during the busy farming season," and added, "We will continue to expand our support for agriculture and rural communities based on cooperation with local related organizations."
