A festival where citizens and tourists can learn and experience maritime safety firsthand was held in Haeundae, which has begun to fill with summer vacationers.
The Dong-Eui University Anchor Project Group (Director: Kim Sunghee) announced on June 26 that it hosted the "1st Busan Maritime Safety Festa" over two days from June 20 to 21 in the Gunam-ro area of Haeundae-gu.
This event was organized to raise awareness about the importance of water safety among citizens and tourists visiting Haeundae Beach and to promote a culture of maritime safety.

Participants learned emergency response skills by directly engaging in activities such as warm-up exercises before water activities, how to wear life jackets and rescue suits, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), throwing rescue tubes, and taking part in a maritime safety quiz competition.
Dong-Eui University also presented a range of interactive programs. The AI Manufacturing Technology Living Lab and Beauty Living Lab offered experiences such as making custom mugs and perfumes, while students from the Department of Fire and Disaster Administration provided hands-on training in wearing rescue suits and using fire extinguishers, assisting with safety education.
In addition, performances by the Taekwondo demonstration team and clubs "Mood" and "Noraega Itneun Teo" contributed to a festive atmosphere that blended safety education with cultural performances.
