Elected as the 23rd President of the Korea Council for College Education
Kim Youngdo, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, has been re-elected as the 23rd President of the Korea Council for College Education (KCCE), successfully securing another term.
The KCCE announced that during the '2026 Presidents' Seminar and Extraordinary General Meeting' held at Park Hyatt Busan from June 25 to 26, President Kim was elected as the 23rd president of the KCCE, receiving majority approval from the presidents of member colleges, following his tenure as the 22nd president. His term will run until September 4, 2028.
During his tenure, President Kim has strengthened cooperation with the government, the National Assembly, and related organizations, enhancing the policy status of junior colleges and leading the advancement of higher vocational education. He has been recognized for playing a leading role in addressing key issues facing junior colleges, expanding financial support, and driving policy proposals.
Looking ahead, President Kim plans to actively promote the competitiveness of junior colleges and innovation in higher vocational education, based on his vision to "open a new era for Korea's junior colleges with top-tier employment and global standing."
Key initiatives include: ▲ expanding top-tier employment in national core industries; ▲ establishing a stable financial support system through the enactment of the Vocational Education Act; ▲ global expansion of K-TVET; and ▲ strengthening support systems for AI-based educational innovation.
