KB Kookmin Bank announced on June 26 that it will contribute an additional 300 million won to expand the "Mind Care Counseling Service" for vulnerable debtors, which it operates together with the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service.
As a result, the total funding for the "Mind Care Counseling Service" supported by KB Kookmin Bank has been increased to 800 million won. The additional funds will be used to provide professional psychological counseling services to customers struggling with debt issues.
KB Kookmin Bank operates the "KB Hope Financial Center" to help financially vulnerable individuals achieve economic independence. The KB Hope Financial Center is a leading inclusive financial support channel in the banking sector that comprehensively guides various debt adjustment systems and policy finance products, including the bank's own debt adjustment programs, the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service, Fresh Start Fund, personal rehabilitation, and bankruptcy systems.
After first opening in Seoul and Incheon in December last year, the bank expanded the service to Daejeon, Daegu, and other cities this year, and is now operating six centers nationwide. Through both in-person and online consultations, the bank supports financially vulnerable individuals in overcoming economic difficulties and provides integrated services that combine credit counseling, debt adjustment, and psychological counseling.

The "Mind Care Counseling Service" is a program that provides professional psychological counseling to customers using the debt adjustment program of the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service. In cooperation with the Korea EAP Association, the service utilizes 943 psychological counseling centers nationwide. From December last year to May this year, a total of 4,738 counseling sessions have been conducted at these centers.
