The starting monthly salary for new employees (bachelor’s degree, technical and administrative positions) was 4,505,000 won.
With improved performance driven by expanding investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, the scale of social value (SV) creation also increased significantly. Last year, the amount of SV created reached 20.3247 trillion won, up 69.4% year-on-year. Social value is a metric that quantifies a company’s contribution to society through employment, taxation, environmental efforts, and social contribution activities, and is calculated by combining economic indirect contributions, environmental, and social performance.
Economic indirect contribution performance, including employment, dividends, and taxes, also climbed 69.8% year-on-year to 20.3561 trillion won. In particular, tax performance soared to 9.5329 trillion won, a 168.2% surge from the previous year’s 3.5545 trillion won. Social performance, including social contribution and shared growth, totaled 941.4 billion won, up 15.1% from the previous year’s 817.7 billion won.
On the other hand, due to increased semiconductor production, the environmental performance recorded a negative 972.8 billion won. The magnitude of negative environmental impact expanded by 20.1% compared to the previous year’s negative 809.7 billion won.
The proportion of female executives was 3.4%, unchanged from the previous year, while the proportion of female team leaders rose by 0.3 percentage points to 6.8%. SK hynix set this year’s targets at 3.9% and 7.3%, respectively. The number of male employees who took paternity leave was 1,091, an increase of 297 over the same period.
