Supporting the Nurturing of Future Regional Talent
Sung-ho Hwang, CEO of Samhyun Co., Ltd., has pledged a donation of 30 million won to Kyungnam University to foster future talent in the region and contribute to the development of his alma mater.
On June 25, Kyungnam University received a pledge for university development funds from CEO Hwang and held a donation ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by President Jae-gyu Park, CEO Sung-ho Hwang, and other related officials. The donated funds will be used as resources for educational innovation at the university and to nurture future talent in the region.

View original imageCEO Hwang graduated from the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Kyungnam University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in business administration at the graduate school. Since founding Samhyun in 1988, he has led the company to become a leading advanced manufacturing enterprise in the region, providing electrification systems and eco-friendly mobility solutions for a wide range of industries, including automotive, shipbuilding, robotics, defense, and UAM.
CEO Sung-ho Hwang stated, "I am deeply proud that my alma mater, Kyungnam University, has contributed to nurturing local talent and advancing industry for the past 80 years." He added, "I hope this development fund will help students develop the capabilities to lead future industries and serve as a small contribution to the university's greater leap forward together with the region."
President Jae-gyu Park said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CEO Sung-ho Hwang for pledging such a meaningful development fund to his alma mater. Based on the valuable support from alumni and the local community, Kyungnam University will further strive to become an institution that contributes to the growth of students and the development of the region."
