Man in His 50s Arrested for Threatening with Weapon at Convenience Store, Saying "What Are You Looking At?"
Booked on Charges of Possessing a Weapon in a Public Place
A man in his 50s was apprehended by police after threatening citizens with a weapon in front of a convenience store.
Guro Police Station in Seoul announced on the 25th that it had booked a man in his 50s, referred to as Mr. A, without detention on charges of possessing a weapon in a public place.
According to the police, at around 9:10 p.m. the previous day, Mr. A is suspected of threatening an unspecified number of people and shouting profanities while holding a weapon in his hand in front of a convenience store located in Guro-gu, Seoul.
Police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. A at the scene and confiscated the weapon he had hidden in his bag.
It was reported that during the incident, Mr. A told citizens, "What are you looking at?" and threatened to harm them.

A police official stated, "We have secured the suspect and are investigating," adding, "Whether to apply for an arrest warrant will be decided after the investigation."
