Samyang Group has published its '2025 Sustainability Management Report,' which details the company's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management achievements and strategies. The report covers the ESG management activities and performance of five listed group companies: Samyang Holdings, Samyang Corporation, Samyang Packaging, Samyang KCI, and Samyang Biopharm, which became an independent entity last year.
Samyang Group identified six key issues through a double materiality assessment that reflects global disclosure standards: industrial safety and health, climate change response, ethical and legal compliance management, corporate governance, product safety and quality, and human resources management. The report outlines the management system for each issue, major achievements, and future directions.
The group's main affiliates are accelerating the advancement of their ESG management systems. Samyang Holdings operates an ESG Key Performance Indicator (KPI) assessment system and an internal carbon pricing system. Samyang Corporation has strengthened its compliance management structure by introducing a Fair Trade Compliance Program (CP). Samyang Biopharm has established an integrated ESG management system, while Samyang Packaging is expanding its recycled PET business and improving energy efficiency. Based on its achievements in developing biodegradable materials, Samyang KCI has received the Platinum rating from the global ESG rating agency EcoVadis for two consecutive years.
Samyang Group plans to continue advancing its ESG management system and strengthening communication with stakeholders to expand the foundation for sustainable growth.
