Hyundai Glovis Drives Work Transformation by Enhancing AI Utilization
"AI Bootcamp" Held to Transform Work Practices
Hyundai Glovis is pushing for a transition to work based on artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to enhance employees' AI competency, increase work efficiency, and embed AI within the organization.
Hyundai Glovis announced on the 25th that it recently conducted the "1st AI Bootcamp" for its employees. The AI Bootcamp is an in-house training program designed to help employees directly utilize AI agents and other tools to improve their work.
Participants selected from each business division underwent six weeks of hands-on training using AI agent tools and coding agent tools, after which they tackled innovation projects connected to their actual work. Rather than simply proposing ideas, they produced tangible results in areas such as data analysis and work process improvement that could be directly felt in the field.
For example, a participant from the car carrier business division built an operations work portal based on "vibe coding," a method in which AI implements code upon receiving requirements in natural language. Previously, information necessary for vessel operations, such as routes, port facility details, and unloading costs, had to be searched and checked through separate databases.
By using the newly established portal, users can now access detailed port information, calculate unloading costs, and review operational manuals much more quickly and easily.
A participant from the used car business division also leveraged "vibe coding" to develop a system for recommending vehicles tailored to customer needs.
This system analyzes customers' budgets and preferred car types, as well as their priorities regarding brand, design, practicality, driving experience, and environmental friendliness, to suggest the most suitable vehicles.
To analyze customer preferences more accurately, the questions were made more specific. For example, it checks whether a customer values cost-effectiveness or brand more, and even asks, "Which is more important to you: success recognized by others or happiness felt by yourself?" in order to better identify customer needs.
A Hyundai Glovis representative stated, "The second AI Bootcamp is currently underway, and we plan to apply the outstanding cases to actual work."
Previously, in April, Hyundai Glovis held a special lecture on "AX Insight and Vibe Coding" with executives and leaders from each business division participating. The special lecture included sessions on the concept and role of generative AI, as well as hands-on training in data analysis, website creation, and coding using ChatGPT and Claude.
