IS Dongseo to Open Pentahills W 1st Complex Model Home on the 26th
Pentahills' First High-End Brand
Specialized Design and Hotel-Style Concierge Services
IS Dongseo announced on the 25th that it has opened a model home for "Pentahills W 1st Complex (Pentahills W 1st Complex)" located in Block A2-1 of the Jung-san District (Pentahills) in Gyeongsan City, North Gyeongsang Province, and has begun sales.
The "Pentahills W 1st Complex" is the first phase of the Pentahills W development, which will comprise a total of 3,443 units. This phase consists of nine buildings with 1,712 units, ranging from six basement floors to a maximum of 59 above-ground floors. The units are primarily medium to large-sized, with exclusive areas spanning from 84 to 152 square meters. The complex features a specialized layout that minimizes view obstructions and maximizes usable floor space.
The most striking feature of the "Pentahills W 1st Complex" is its innovative cross-shaped (+) design. Compared to conventional two-sided open apartments, this design secures a larger extended balcony area, further maximizing usable floor space.
The complex enhances natural lighting and ventilation by prioritizing south-facing layouts and applying two-sided or three-sided open and cross-ventilation structures. Certain unit types offer a rare "multi-view" option—lake, city, and mountain views—which is uncommon in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang regions. The use of movable walls and multi-purpose rooms allows for customized spaces, such as home offices or media rooms, to be created.
Taking advantage of its proximity to Jungsan Lake Park, the landscaping and walking paths within the complex are seamlessly connected to the natural surroundings. The complex is designed as a 100% park-style apartment with no vehicles on the ground level, offering pleasant rest areas focused on landscaping, including play gardens and pet gardens.
Super High-Rise Landmark... Premium Systems and Community Facilities
Reflecting the characteristics of a 59-story super high-rise, separate high-speed elevators for lower and upper floors are installed in each building to enhance convenience of movement. There is ample parking—about 1.86 spaces per household—with 44% of spaces designed as expanded parking spots to reduce parking concerns. Additionally, a food waste transport system is installed on every floor to improve household convenience.
The community facilities include a 25-meter indoor swimming pool with three lanes, a sauna, a fitness center, a golf practice range, and a dedicated educational facility (Jongno M School, planned). Residents can enjoy hotel-style living amenities such as concierge secretary services, a morning lounge (breakfast area) serving breakfast, and 24-hour healthcare and telemedicine services.
Prime Location with Access to Daegu City Center and Suseong District Infrastructure
The "Pentahills W 1st Complex" secures a prime position within Pentahills, offering superior connectivity to transportation and daily life infrastructure. Residents have convenient access to Sawol Station on Daegu Subway Line 2 and the Daegyeong Line commuter train.
A new elementary school (tentatively named Jungsan Elementary School) is planned to open nearby in March 2029, and a site for a future middle and high school is also secured adjacent to the complex. The proximity to Suseong District in Daegu provides easy access to the district's educational institutes, as well as to cultural and sports infrastructure such as the Daegu Art Museum, Daegu Kansong Art Museum, and Samsung Lions Park.
Expanded Opportunities for Households with Children in Daegu and North Gyeongsang
The "Pentahills W 1st Complex" will benefit from the revised housing subscription regulations implemented by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to support households with children.
Previously, newborn households were prioritized only within the special supply category for newlyweds, which required couples to apply within seven years of marriage. With this revision, any household without a home—including those with children under two years old, including unborn or adopted children—may apply for the newborn special supply, regardless of marriage duration, provided that income and asset criteria are met.
The housing subscription process begins on the 29th with applications for special supply, followed by first-priority applications on the 30th and second-priority applications on the 1st of the following month. Winners will be announced on the 7th of the same month, with contract signings scheduled from the 20th to the 22nd.
First-priority eligibility is limited to residents of Gyeongsan City or Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, and applicants must have been enrolled in a subscription savings account for at least six months and meet the required deposit amount. All heads of households and household members aged 19 or older may apply, and even existing homeowners are eligible. For medium-to-large units exceeding 85 square meters, a 100% lottery system applies, giving applicants with low subscription points a chance to be selected. There are no restrictions on resale, repeat winning, or mandatory occupancy periods.
