The Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) is supporting new career development opportunities for retired players.
On June 24, KPGA announced that, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is recruiting students for a training program designed to cultivate golf instructors who can be linked to employment or dispatched positions. The program aims to nurture professional golf instructors who, based on their experience and expertise as KPGA players, can work in a variety of educational settings such as corporations, universities, public institutions, and civic education organizations.
The main objective is to move beyond traditional golf lesson-focused activities and to foster professional instructors who can design and deliver golf as an educational content. Trainees will systematically learn about golf content planning, lecture design, public speaking and delivery, personal branding, and practical business skills.

The KPGA Technical Education Committee will plan the educational direction, and the program will be operated with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Starting July 9, classes will be held every Thursday in the main lecture hall on the 10th floor of the KPGA Building. The program consists of a total of 12 sessions over three months. Tuition is free. Up to approximately 70 KPGA members will be accepted. Applications are open until 4 p.m. on June 30. Further details can be found in the announcements section of the KPGA website.
