Celltrion Pharm Publishes Its First Sustainability Report
Disclosure of Sustainability Performance in 12 Key Areas
Including Climate Change Response, Community Contribution, and Governance
Celltrion Pharm announced on June 24 that it has published its first sustainability report, the 'Celltrion Pharm Sustainability Report 2025-2026,' which details the company's sustainable management activities and achievements.
This report was published to transparently disclose the status of Celltrion Pharm’s sustainability management initiatives and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance, as well as to enhance communication with key stakeholders including customers, employees, shareholders and investors, partners, and the local community. With the release of this inaugural report, Celltrion Pharm plans to regularly release its business performance and ESG-based management activities, continuing to advance its sustainable management system.
The report incorporates major international sustainability reporting standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2021, the industry standards of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
In addition, to ensure the transparency and reliability of the report’s content and data, Celltrion Pharm underwent third-party verification by the independent external organization BSI (British Standards Institution), according to the AA1000AS (Moderate level, Type 1) assurance standard. Through this process, Celltrion Pharm established a sustainability information disclosure system in line with international standards.
The report also reveals the results of a double materiality assessment conducted to identify and manage ESG issues most relevant to the company from a sustainability perspective. Celltrion Pharm comprehensively analyzed global disclosure standards, industry-specific indicators, benchmarking of peers and leading companies, and internal management data to determine 10 priority issues. Each issue was then evaluated for its financial impact on the company and the company’s impact on the environment and society. After review and approval by the board of directors, the final material issues were selected as: ▲Innovation and R&D, ▲Product quality and safety, and ▲Workplace safety and health. The report includes risk and opportunity factors, response strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), major activities, and achievements for each material issue.
The report also highlights Celltrion Pharm’s business capabilities and financial achievements. Last year, the company expanded its domestic biosimilar portfolio to a total of 12 products by introducing three additional biosimilars to the Korean market, including 'Stovoclo-Ocenbelt' (denosumab), a treatment for bone diseases, and 'Eptozma' (tocilizumab), a treatment for autoimmune diseases. Additionally, the chemical pharmaceuticals business continued to post stable growth, and for the first time since its founding, Celltrion Pharm achieved annual sales of 500 billion won, further strengthening its foundation for sustainable growth.
The report also details key activities across environmental, social, and governance domains. In the environmental area, it covers climate change response, resource efficiency improvements, and biodiversity conservation activities based on the ISO 14001 environmental management system. In the social area, it highlights ▲expanding access to medicines, ▲product quality and safety management, ▲human rights management, and ▲co-prosperity activities with partners. In the governance area, the report describes the establishment of an ESG committee under the board of directors, the achievement of ISO 37001 anti-bribery management system certification, and ISO 37301 compliance management system certification, all contributing to the reinforcement of ethical and compliance management.
A Celltrion Pharm representative stated, "This inaugural sustainability report systematically organizes and discloses the company’s ESG management activities and achievements to stakeholders. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance our sustainable management system and strengthen responsible management across all areas of environment, society, and governance."
