View original imageA Korean man in his 30s has been arrested by local police in Thailand for posting pornographic content, including videos of sexual encounters with locals, on social networking services (SNS). It has been reported that he amassed approximately 360,000 followers through these posts.
According to local media such as Khaosod and MGR Online on June 23 (local time), the Thai Immigration Police arrested a 30-year-old Korean man, identified as Mr. A, at a luxury hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi Province on June 21.
Filming and Posting Sexual Videos with Locals on SNS
Local police reportedly began an investigation after discovering evidence that Mr. A had been continuously posting inappropriate videos on online platforms. After identifying his place of stay, they apprehended him in his hotel room.
Photos and videos of the arrest released by the police show Mr. A, who was naked at the time, being questioned on the bed with only a towel covering his lower body, as officers entered the hotel room. His arms, shoulders, back, and thighs were heavily tattooed, covering most of his body.
It is known that Mr. A admitted to uploading the related posts during the initial investigation. However, authorities still need to confirm whether consent was obtained during the filming and posting process, as well as whether there was any monetary compensation involved.
Large Quantity of Drugs Found at the Scene of Arrest
Police discovered and seized various drugs in his hotel room, including 21.36 grams of methamphetamine, 304.32 grams of ketamine, and 296 ecstasy pills, as evidence. As a result, Mr. A has been charged under the Thai Penal Code for inputting obscene information into a computer system, distributing pornography, and possessing Schedule I and II narcotics with intent to sell.
The police plan to expand their investigation to trace the source of the confiscated drugs and to determine any accomplices or links to other cases.

According to Article 14 of Thailand's Computer Crime Act, posting or distributing pornography online is punishable by up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 100,000 baht (approximately 460,000 won), or both. Possession of narcotics can result in up to one year in prison or a fine of up to 20,000 baht (approximately 92,000 won).
