Communicating with Future Talent in Real Estate Finance
Maston Investment Management announced on the 24th that it had invited students from Korea University's real estate finance society, 'KREDIT', to its headquarters and held a talent donation lecture. The event covered topics such as blind funds, value-add strategies, designing a career in real estate investment, and the direction and significance of social contribution activities by asset management companies.
The lecture, organized by Maston Investment Management's Social Contribution Promotion Team's Good Influence Practice Center, was held the previous afternoon in the main conference room at Maston's headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The session was themed 'Designing Cities and Capital: Strategies and the Future of Real Estate Asset Management,' where employees directly shared practical knowledge in real estate finance and alternative investments.

Ho Kyun Lim, president of KREDIT, opened the event by sharing the society's activities and vision under the theme 'Preparing for the Future of Real Estate Finance: The Challenges and Growth of Korea University KREDIT.'
This was followed by a lecture from Janghee Cho, Head of Domestic Investment Division 1 (Managing Director) at Maston Investment Management, who discussed 'Practical Investment Operations in Real Estate Asset Management: Blind Funds and Value-Add Strategies.' He introduced the operational structure of blind funds and how value-add strategies are realized in actual asset value enhancement, using concrete examples that drew significant interest from the students.
Tae Seok Lee, Head of Investment Team 1 of Domestic Investment Division 6 (Director) at Maston Investment Management, shared his personal career journey under the theme 'From Pension Funds to Asset Management: Real Estate Investment and Career Roadmap.' He offered practical guidance and industry entry strategies for students aspiring to join the field, which was met with an enthusiastic response.
In the final session, Minseok Kim, Head of the Good Influence Practice Center within the Social Contribution Promotion Team at Maston Investment Management, introduced the team's past activities and future direction. The session was an opportunity to share the team's philosophy of returning the expertise gained in real estate finance back to society and to reaffirm their ongoing commitment to nurturing future talent.
Since its official launch in April, Maston Investment Management's Social Contribution Promotion Team has continued to engage with various youth groups. Activities have included an 'Impact Forum' with sustainable management talent groups, a special lecture for the Korea branch of the International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA), and an invited talk at the International Relations Institute (IRI) at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. The team has also co-hosted the 'Future Leaders Forum' with ULI (Urban Land Institute) Korea, reaching out to young people in diverse fields.
Hyungseok Park, CEO and Head of the Social Contribution Promotion Team at Maston Investment Management, said, "Sharing real-world experience with students who have a deep and passionate understanding of the nature of real estate asset management is the true meaning of the talent donation we pursue."
