Specialty agricultural products from Gochang in Jeonbuk, such as sweet potatoes, peanuts, and melons, will now reach consumers nationwide through Ashley stores.
According to Gochang County on June 23, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with E-Land Eats Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of June 22 at Meeting Room 1 of the County Office to promote the distribution of Gochang’s agricultural products.

This agreement focuses on expanding the consumption of local agricultural products by developing menus using Gochang produce and pursuing joint marketing initiatives.
E-Land Eats operates 14 dining brands, including Ashley, Nature Kitchen, Roun, and Pizza Mall. Among them, the family restaurant brand Ashley boasts high recognition in the Korean dining industry, with 124 locations across the country.
Under the agreement, Gochang County will supply regional specialty products such as melons, sweet potatoes, and peanuts, while E-Land Eats plans to introduce seasonal Ashley menus featuring these ingredients. This collaboration is drawing attention as an example of increasing added value by linking local agricultural products with restaurant menu offerings, going beyond simple supply arrangements.
Recently, local governments have been expanding strategies to boost the consumption of regional agricultural products by partnering with major distributors or dining companies, providing farmers with stable sales channels and offering consumers greater opportunities to experience local specialties.
