Jung Ryeowon and Kim Mooyul to Star in Netflix Drama "First Doctor"
Hong Jongchan, Director of "Juvenile Justice" and "True Education," Returns with New Project
Netflix announced on June 23 that actors Jung Ryeowon, Ha Yoonkyung, and Kim Mooyul will star in the original medical drama "First Doctor."
The series tells the story of doctors striving to save children's lives in a pediatric surgery department facing the threat of closure. Jung Ryeowon will play Heo Jiwan, a pediatric surgery professor driven to the edge by her straightforward personality. Ha Yoonkyung will portray Gi Eungyeol, a third-year resident who frequently clashes with Heo Jiwan. Kim Mooyul will take on the role of Bae Suwol, a professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine and colleague of Heo Jiwan.

The series will be directed by Hong Jongchan, known for "Juvenile Justice" and "True Education." This marks his third collaboration with Kim Mooyul, following their work on the previous two projects. The script is written by Kim Minseok, who also wrote "Juvenile Justice" and "Mr. Plankton."
