Schneider Electric Captivates Nvidia and TSMC... "Next Target: K-Semiconductors"
Building "AI Factory" Standards with Nvidia and TSMC
Securing Maintenance Solution Orders from Global Memory Company M
Winning Company-wide Expansion Purchase Order Worth 30 Billion Won
Schneider Electric, a global giant in energy management and automation, has unveiled its "megaton-level" collaboration achievements with global big tech companies such as Nvidia and TSMC, riding the wave of the booming artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor market. Leveraging these references, Schneider Electric now plans to aggressively target the Korean semiconductor market, which has traditionally had high barriers to entry.
During his keynote speech at "Innovation Day 2026" held on the 23rd at Suwon Convention Center, Gyeonggi Province, Sung Dongjun, Head of Semiconductor Strategic Customers at Schneider Electric Korea, stated, "Schneider Electric is not just about abstract technology, but is a company specializing in AI with the most reliable and trusted systems in the world." He presented specific collaboration results with global semiconductor leaders, along with projections for the AI semiconductor market through 2030.

Schneider Electric integrated its world-leading energy management system (EMS), "ETAP," and the number one data analytics software, "AVEVA PI System," into Nvidia’s digital twin platform "Omniverse." This integrated system has been successfully implemented in TSMC’s semiconductor fabs.
Sung emphasized, "Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang personally announced the partnership, demonstrating how much effort went into this project," and added, "This is not just about product supply; it is the result of a shared vision for global standardization of AI factories, carbon emission reduction, and maximizing energy efficiency."
An impressive cost-saving case with one of the global memory "Big 3" companies, referred to as Company M, was also unveiled. When Schneider Electric’s AI-based predictive maintenance solution, "EcoStruxure Industrial Advisor," was piloted (PoC) on Company M's production line, it resulted in annual cost savings of 1 million dollars (approximately 1.3 billion won) and energy savings of 18,000 MWh on just a single line.
Sung stated, "The investment costs were recovered within just six months after system implementation," and revealed, "Recognizing the quality of Schneider Electric’s products, Company M recently decided to roll out the system company-wide and placed a purchase order (PO) worth 30 billion won."

The I-Line Panel’s innovative design, which uses plug-in connections instead of screw fastenings, maximizes installation safety, making it an essential facility for global semiconductor fabs that require 24/7 operation.
Schneider Electric acknowledged its underwhelming performance in the Korean market, despite its impressive global track record, and announced a bold commitment to address this. The company aims to win over Korea’s leading memory companies, which possess world-class technological prowess, by leveraging its proven references from collaborations with global big tech firms.
Sung declared, "In global markets, Schneider products are essential for ensuring power continuity in data centers and semiconductor fabs, but in Korea, we have so far failed to fully satisfy domestic clients due to shortcomings in our services and communication. We will set aside the authority of a global corporation, approach valuable Korean clients such as Samsung and SK with humility, and prove the overwhelming efficiency of our systems."

A survey of 150 global semiconductor CEOs found that the worldwide semiconductor market in 2026 is approaching 1 trillion dollars (about 1,500 trillion won). The AI segment’s share of the total semiconductor market is projected to soar from virtually zero in 2020 to 54% by 2030. In particular, memory semiconductors and high-bandwidth memory (HBM), areas where Korea vies for the top two spots globally, were identified as the key drivers of this growth.
