South Korea’s emerging golf star Seokyolim has climbed to 45th place in the world rankings.
On June 22 (local time), she earned 2.0 points in the official Women's Golf Weekly World Rankings, jumping 21 spots from 66th the previous week. She gained ranking points by winning the Inka Financial The Haven Masters on the KLPGA Tour last week, where she secured a wire-to-wire victory by maintaining her lead at the top of the leaderboard throughout the three-day event.

View original imageSeokyolim, who claimed her first career win at the Celltrion Queens Masters on June 7, captured her second victory of the season in just two weeks at this tournament, tying with Kim Min-sol for the most wins this season. She currently leads the Player of the Year points race with 257 points and ranks second on the money list with 715,735,714 won. Last year, she won the Rookie of the Year award despite not having a victory. She commented, "I'm happy to have achieved my second win of the season so quickly. My goal for this season is to become the player with the most wins. If I get another chance to win, I will seize it."
Nelly Korda (USA), Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), and Kim Hyo-joo maintained their positions in the top three. LPGA Tour Meijer Classic runner-up Charley Hull (England) moved up two spots from seventh to fifth, while Meijer Classic champion Miyu Yamashita (Japan) jumped one spot to seventh.

For Korea, Kim Hyo-joo is followed by Kim Sei-young in 10th place. Yoo Hae-ran is 12th, Choi Hye-jin is 17th, Kim Min-sol is 19th, Lim Jin-hee is 32nd, Kim A-lim is 34th, Hwang Yu-min is 37th, Yoon In-na is 39th, and Lee So-mi is 40th. Jeon In-ji, who finished tied for 12th at the Meijer Classic, rose two spots to 42nd. Last year's KLPGA Tour Player of the Year Yoo Hyun-jo climbed five spots to 43rd after finishing third at the Inka Financial The Haven Masters.
