On June 21 (local time), in the official men's golf weekly world rankings, he received 1.81 points, soaring 77 places from 141st last week. On this day, at the 126th US Open—the third major tournament of the 2026 season—held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (par 70) in Southampton, New York, USA, with a total prize money of 22.5 million dollars, he finished in third place and earned significant ranking points. This marks his best major tournament performance since tying for second at The Open in 2023.
