A man in his 20s has been arrested on charges of killing his live-in girlfriend with a blunt weapon.
On June 22, Kim Jihyun, the presiding judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A following a pre-trial detention hearing on suspicion of murder, citing concerns that he might flee.
Mr. A is accused of repeatedly striking a woman in her 20s, with whom he lived, with a blunt instrument at a house in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on June 20, resulting in her death.
During police questioning, Mr. A reportedly stated that he assaulted the victim with a blunt weapon during an argument but claimed he did not intend to kill her.
