Chief of Staff Park explained, "His physical strength has declined significantly, and according to the medical staff, his current condition is similar to or slightly worse than the test results from when he first visited the hospital following his hunger strike." Park added, "Therefore, the medical opinion was that additional tests and treatment are required."
Due to his health condition, Jang is reportedly allowing only limited visits. Park stated, "Floor Leader Jeong Jeomshik visited him the day after his hospitalization, and today, several lawmakers who attended the Supreme Council meeting, as well as others who completed their weekend schedules in their constituencies, visited him. We are asking for understanding, suggesting that communication be done by phone if possible, or that meetings take place after his recovery."
Regarding reports that Jang is pushing for a reorganization of party posts, Park clarified, "The party leader has not given the chief of staff any instructions to review the reorganization of party positions," adding, "Accordingly, I want to make it clear that we have not reviewed such matters at the working level."
