SaeroMS, a comprehensive healthcare platform company under Ildong Pharmaceutical Group, announced on June 22 that it has been selected as the implementing agency for the "Remote Island Doctor" project, which is part of the "2026 Fishermen Welfare Bus" (Eobok Bus) initiative led by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
The "Eobok Bus" project is an initiative by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries that aims to improve the welfare and convenience of fishermen by providing and supplying services related to healthcare, food, daily life, and administration to residents of island and fishing village communities.

View original imageThe "Remote Island Doctor" project is being promoted to deliver remote medical consultation services to fishermen in island areas who have limited access to medical institutions due to geographical constraints. The purpose is to prevent medical blind spots and to more proactively manage the health of local residents.
In particular, by utilizing an online approach that is free from the constraints of time and space, the project aims to improve access to medical services and enable timely and effective responses to healthcare needs. Additionally, it seeks to bridge the healthcare gap by connecting with hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies affiliated with the relevant local governments.
As part of the project, SaeroMS plans to collaborate with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, which is the main agency, and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives Foundation, the managing agency, to install and operate more than 200 units of its remote medical consultation kiosk, "SaeroDoctor," in island regions where fishermen reside but no doctors are present, with the goal of completing this within the year.
Furthermore, SaeroMS intends to build a network with medical institutions and pharmacies in the areas where "SaeroDoctor" is installed, establish the remote consultation system, and simultaneously carry out all related tasks for operating the "Remote Island Doctor" initiative, including promoting the service and providing education for users.
SaeroDoctor, developed by SaeroMS, is an integrated remote consultation solution that enables patients to receive video-based medical consultations from doctors without visiting a medical institution in person and allows prescriptions to be sent directly to designated pharmacies from the kiosk's location.
What sets "SaeroDoctor" apart is its user-friendly features designed for vulnerable populations, such as a large screen for smooth communication and immersive remote consultations, a user interface with large font sizes, and voice guidance for ease of use.
