A healing variety show centered on generational empathy, set in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, is coming to living rooms across the nation.
The county announced that the new KBS2TV entertainment program "Welcome to Sugun School" will premiere on June 25 at 9:55 p.m., airing every Thursday at the same time for a total of eight episodes.

The show features broadcaster Lee Sugun as the main host, alongside Lee Mijoo, Lim Wooil, and 12 local residents from Uiseong, exploring stories of communication and empathy across generations.
"Welcome to Sugun School" is a variety program set against the backdrop of Uiseong, a region facing the risk of depopulation due to super-aging and low birth rates. Elderly residents, children, and celebrity cast members participate in various experiences and exchanges, documenting their journey of mutual understanding and empathy.
Filming took place throughout Uiseong County, so viewers nationwide will be introduced to the region’s natural scenery, traditional culture, and the modest daily lives and community spirit of its residents.
Uiseong County previously supported the production of the KBS program "My Friend is Seven Years Old" and has also provided production support for this second season, "Welcome to Sugun School."
The county expects this broadcast to widely promote its cultural and tourism resources and to contribute to building a positive image of Uiseong.
Ju-Soo Kim, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "I hope that the beautiful scenery of Uiseong and the warm stories of our residents will reach viewers across the country. We will continue to actively promote the charm of Uiseong and boost tourism by cooperating with various broadcast contents."
With regional extinction emerging as a national issue, "Welcome to Sugun School" is drawing attention as a meaningful content that goes beyond mere entertainment to shed new light on rural life and the value of local communities.
