Samsung Electronics Supplies HVAC Solutions to 300 Households in Indian Residential Complex, Expanding into Premium Market
Full-Scale Entry into the Premium Residential Market
Supplying to India, a Key Strategic Region
Featuring the WindFree 1Way Ceiling Cassette
Samsung Electronics is accelerating its entry into the global HVAC market by supplying a large number of high-efficiency HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) solutions to an ultra-premium residential complex in India.
On June 22, Samsung Electronics announced that it will collaborate with Central Park, one of India’s leading real estate developers, to supply HVAC solutions to "The Orchard," a complex currently under development in Gurugram, the hub of India’s IT (Information Technology) industry.
This large-scale project will install Samsung Electronics’ residential system air conditioning solutions in 300 households with a total of over 3,000 units. Full-scale move-ins are scheduled to begin early next year.
Gurugram is a satellite city located approximately 30 kilometers south of New Delhi and is recognized as a major industrial center, attracting numerous startups and global IT companies. The area has a high concentration of high-income residents, and with summer temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius, there is strong demand for high-performance, high-efficiency HVAC solutions.
With this supply deal, Samsung Electronics plans to expand its HVAC business—which has traditionally focused on large offices, shopping malls, and hotels—into the premium residential market, while strengthening its position as a provider of AI (artificial intelligence) home solutions in India and other global markets.

The continuous increase in demand for premium HVAC systems is driven by the country’s hot climate, rapid urbanization, and rising income levels. Recently, there has also been growing interest in smart HVAC solutions with energy efficiency and connectivity, especially in luxury residential complexes.
For this project, Samsung Electronics will supply a large number of high-efficiency products that combine the "DVM S2," a large-scale system air conditioner outdoor unit capable of connecting multiple indoor units, and the "WindFree 1Way Ceiling Cassette," a residential system air conditioner.
The DVM S2 can connect up to 64 indoor units to a single outdoor unit, making it ideal for large residential complexes, commercial facilities, and schools. Since it is installed outdoors, it features a high-strength frame that increases the structural stability of key internal components by up to 210% compared to previous models. It is also designed with low-vibration technology to ensure operational reliability even during earthquakes of up to magnitude 9.
In addition, it offers AI-based customized control features, including: "AI Quick Cooling," which learns operation patterns based on indoor and outdoor environments to provide rapid cooling; "AI Energy Saving," which analyzes various sensor data such as temperature and pressure to optimize for surrounding conditions and piping, reducing power consumption by approximately 15%; and "AI Real-Time Refrigerant Leak Detection," which continuously monitors and notifies users of refrigerant leaks in real time.
Inside the residential spaces, Samsung Electronics’ signature residential HVAC solution, the "WindFree 1Way Ceiling Cassette," is installed. This product provides a comfortable WindFree cooling experience without direct airflow. Its compact design, with a height of 135mm, enables easy installation and maximizes space efficiency, enhancing interior aesthetics. It is also equipped with a "PM 1.0 Filter" that removes ultrafine dust and sterilizes 99% of harmful bacteria collected, ensuring clean indoor air throughout all seasons. The "PM1.0 Filter" is included as standard.
When connected to SmartThings, users can conveniently manage the temperature, humidity, and air quality of each room via mobile devices. Additionally, real-time power consumption monitoring and energy management and savings are possible through the "AI Saving Mode."
