Seo Gyurim Returns to the Top After Two Weeks: "Aiming for Most Wins This Season"
Wire-to-Wire Victory at The Heaven Masters
Tied for Most Wins, First in Player of the Year Points, Second in Prize Money
Eunsoo Jang Finishes Second, Hyunjoo Yoo Third, Yujin Sung Ties for Fourth
Gyurim Seo, a second-year player on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, claimed another victory just two weeks after her previous win.
On June 21, at The Heaven Country Club West·South Course (par 72, 6,726 yards) in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, Gyurim Seo carded a 2-under-par 70 in the final round of the Inkafinance The Heaven Masters (total prize money of KRW 1 billion), recording four birdies and two bogeys. With a final score of 16-under-par 200, Seo finished two strokes ahead of Eunsoo Jang (14-under-par 202). She maintained her position atop the leaderboard for all three days, capturing a wire-to-wire victory.
Seo achieved her second win of the season after capturing her first career victory at the Celltrion Queens Masters on June 7. She is now tied for the most wins this season alongside Min Sol Kim. Seo received a winner’s prize of KRW 180 million, moving up to second in the money rankings (KRW 715,745,714), first in Player of the Year points (257 points), and fourth in scoring average (70.6569).

At the 15th hole (par 3), she landed her tee shot 2.8 meters from the pin and made the birdie. On the challenging 16th hole (par 4), she hit her second shot to within 1.7 meters for another birdie. On the 18th hole (par 5), her second shot found the left greenside bunker, but she managed a ‘three on, two putt’ to avoid losing a stroke.
Seo’s greens-in-regulation rate was outstanding, missing just one green all day with her precise iron shots. In her post-round interview, she said, “I’m happy to have achieved my second win of the season so quickly. My goal this year is to become the player with the most wins, and I’ll make sure to seize any opportunity.” She also commented, “Min Sol Kim is an excellent player and a close friend. We motivate each other, and I hope we can continue this good-natured rivalry and help each other improve going forward.”

Since debuting on the KLPGA Tour in 2017 and winning Rookie of the Year, she has yet to capture a victory. Last year’s Player of the Year, Hyunjoo Yoo, surged 13 spots from the previous day with a 7-under-par 65 to finish third (13-under-par 203). Yujin Sung, Shinsil Bang, and Yesung Jeon tied for fourth (12-under-par 204). Min Sol Kim, who was the first to reach two wins this season, finished tied for 34th (5-under-par 211).
