Sedan Veers Onto Sidewalk in Busan, Killing 2 and Injuring 2 Pedestrians
In Busan, a sedan driven by a man in his 70s veered onto the sidewalk, resulting in two deaths and two injuries.
According to the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, at approximately 1:08 p.m. on June 21, a K7 sedan struck four pedestrians walking on the sidewalk on a road in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, before crashing into a subway ventilation structure and coming to a stop.
A woman in her 40s was killed in the accident, and a woman in her 70s, who was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest, also died.
Additionally, a teenage girl and a woman in her 30s sustained leg and head injuries, respectively, and are receiving treatment at the hospital.
Immediately after the accident, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of the K7, but 119 firefighters who responded to the scene extinguished it before it could spread.
The driver, a man in his 70s, suffered a minor abrasion to his ankle.

The police believe that the sedan, which was descending a slope, suddenly veered onto the sidewalk and are investigating the exact cause of the accident by questioning the driver and witnesses.
