Korea Federation of SMEs Partners with LG CNS and Megazone to Support AX Transformation in Small Manufacturers
Recruitment Announcement for Candidates for the "2026 Win-Win AX Model Project"
The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on June 21 that it is recruiting candidates for support under the "2026 Win-Win AX Model Project for Large and Small Businesses," in collaboration with LG CNS and Megazone.
This project is a win-win cooperation initiative in which leading AI companies directly transfer their advanced technology and innovation capabilities to the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It aims not only to improve manufacturing processes, but also to support company-wide AI transformation (AX) and establish AX models tailored to SME workplaces.
If selected, SMEs can receive comprehensive support for up to 12 months during the project period. This includes not only software such as building data collection systems and applying AI models, but also hardware support such as logistics equipment, robot introduction, digital equipment upgrades, facility replacement, and cloud adoption.
The total project budget is up to 3 billion won, of which up to 1.8 billion won (60%) can be provided through government (50%) and large company (10%) support. To ease the burden on SMEs, up to 50% of their 40% self-contribution can be covered through in-kind contributions, such as labor costs and pre-existing equipment.

Yang Chanhoe, Executive Director of the Korea Federation of SMEs, stated, "As the global manufacturing paradigm is rapidly shifting to AI and data-driven models, depth of technology and expertise are more important than ever in AI transformation. Through this project, with specialized companies like LG CNS and Megazone taking the lead, we aim to successfully develop industry-specific AX models suitable for manufacturing sites, expand them across the manufacturing sector via SME cooperatives, and ultimately strengthen South Korea's manufacturing competitiveness."
