A total of 1.17 million visitors attended the '2026 Car-Free Jamsugyo Bridge Festival,' which has been ongoing since April. This figure represents a 13% increase compared to the number of visitors during the first half of last year.
According to Seoul City on June 21, a total of 1.17 million people visited the festival, which was held every Sunday from April 26 to June 14 in the Jamsugyo Bridge area. Now in its fifth year, the event was organized to transform Jamsugyo Bridge from a vehicle-centered space into a pedestrian-friendly area for citizens. The cumulative number of visitors so far has reached 5.3 million.

Additionally, 26.9% of respondents attended the festival more than once; specifically, 13.1% visited twice and 13.8% visited three or more times, proving the high rate of repeat attendance.
In preparation for the complete conversion of Jamsugyo Bridge to a pedestrian-only space scheduled for the first half of 2027, the city piloted programs that could be operated on a permanent basis, laying the groundwork for future operations after the full pedestrianization.
The special programs were organized into two categories: participatory activities and spectator events. Participatory programs included 'Easy Morning,' 'Walking Parade,' 'Jamsugyo Spring Sports Day,' 'Seoul Plage Vacation,' and 'Sunset Yoga: Namaste, Hangang,' all of which provided energy and enjoyment to participants of all ages. Spectator programs such as 'Rainbow Live Stage: Spring,' 'Romantic Hangang Guitar Flash Mob,' and 'Jamsugyo Summer Cinema' also received enthusiastic responses.
In addition, 'Corner-to-Corner Live' by Seoul street artists was held as a regular program, while the 'Silent DJ Party' took place four times during the festival, further enriching the experience. The 'Big 3' play content at 'Moonlight Playground,' which was greatly expanded for family visitors, also proved highly popular.
'Moonlight Dining (food trucks),' 'Moonlight Shop (handicraft sales),' and 'Seoro Market (direct market for local farms)'—responsible for the festival's food and shopping—recorded total sales of KRW 970 million during the festival, demonstrating steady popularity. Approximately 3% of 'Moonlight Dining' sales will be donated after the festival ends in the second half of 2026, further contributing to the social value of the event.
