Chief Presidential Secretary Kang Hoon-sik announced during a briefing at Chunchugwan on this day that Han Chansik, an attorney from Kim & Chang, was appointed as the new Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs.
Seong Kihong, former CEO of Yonhap News Agency, was appointed as Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Relations and Communications, while Kim Kyungja, visiting professor at Woosuk University, was appointed as Senior Presidential Secretary for Social Affairs.

Kang Geonjak, a member of the Presidential Commission on Future Defense Strategy and former commander of the 6th Corps, was appointed as the First Deputy Director of the National Security Office, while Song Giho, Blue House Secretary for Economic Security, was appointed as the Third Deputy Director.
