Two Middle School Girls in Cardiac Arrest After Falling Into Haemi Stream in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province
An accident occurred in Haemi Stream, Haemi-myeon, Seosan City, South Chungcheong Province, in which two middle school students from a nearby school fell into the water.
According to the fire authorities on June 19, a bystander reported at around 5:16 p.m. that two female students had fallen into the water.
The fire authorities responded to a citizen's report that "middle school students fell under the Josan Bridge" and rescued Student A (13) and Student B (13) in cardiac arrest. They performed CPR at the scene and are transporting them one after another to a nearby hospital.
It has been reported that both A and B are enrolled at a middle school near the accident site.

According to authorities, the water depth near Josan Bridge in Haemi Stream at the time of the rescue was estimated to be about 1.5 to 2 meters. The police and fire authorities plan to investigate eyewitnesses and others to determine the detailed circumstances of the accident.
