View original imageOn the 19th, the Broadcasting Media and Communications Committee announced that it had signed a "Financial Business Agreement for the Eradication of Illegal Financial Information and the Establishment of a Safe Digital Financial Environment" together with the Broadcasting Media and Communications Deliberation Committee and the Financial Supervisory Service.
The three organizations will support the expansion and strengthening of self-regulation by internet platform companies, and also reinforce the systems to block illegal financial information. They also plan to inform the public about ways to prevent and respond to illegal private financing damage.
Crackdowns on illegal activities by "finfluencers"—individuals who create content such as stock or virtual asset financial information and influence investor decisions by leveraging rising stock prices or market volatility—will also be strengthened.
