EBS President Kim Yooyeol: "Expecting Three Consecutive Years of Profit... Pioneering the Future with AI Technology"
26th Anniversary Ceremony Held on June 19
Kim Yoo-yeol, President of EBS, stated at the 26th anniversary ceremony of the company on June 19, "Through proactive measures, we have overcome the financial crisis and are expected to maintain profitable management for the third consecutive year in 2026."
President Kim added, "Despite the crisis that left the broadcasting advertising market on the verge of collapse, we have managed to avoid the worst-case scenario." He further noted, "According to a brand image survey conducted by the polling agency Embrain, we ranked first among all domestic broadcasters in every category, including public interest and credibility."
He also highlighted recent specific achievements in content. He said, "The documentaries 'DocuPrime: Age of Stocks' and 'The Last Humanity' ranked sixth and fourth, respectively, on Netflix's popularity charts." He explained, "The educational program 'Great Lessons: Great Minds' has secured 3 billion won in government funding and plans to invite over 50 renowned scholars."
He shared updates on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. All departments are producing AI-driven content and promoting AI transformation (AX). Currently, EBS is broadcasting 'AI Classics: 100 Books that Changed History' and 'AI Drama: Resurrection Class.' By the end of the year, the company plans to hold an internal AI hackathon competition.

To address regional educational disparities, EBS will expand offline touchpoints. This year, the company will establish approximately 100 "Self-Directed Learning Centers" nationwide and dispatch 16 center directors to different regions, marking the full-scale launch of the local era.
