Kakao Pay Launches Video Campaign to Prevent Illegal Gambling Among Teenagers
Kakao Pay announced on June 19, 2026, that it will launch a video campaign to prevent illegal gambling among teenagers, in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service and the Youth Financial Education Council.
This campaign is part of Kakao Pay's flagship youth financial education support initiative, the "Sagaksagak Pay School Junior Class." With illegal gambling among teenagers emerging as a social issue—especially through mobile devices—the campaign aims to warn of the dangers of gambling and raise awareness for prevention by providing intuitive education tailored to teenagers.
The campaign video vividly depicts the various ways in which teenagers are exposed to illegal gambling, as well as the seriousness of the resulting financial damages and risks. It also includes Kakao Pay's own preventive activities, the prevention guidelines recommended by the Financial Supervisory Service, and instructions on how to report incidents quickly. The video is produced in an animated format to ensure that teenagers can watch it without boredom. Kakao Pay, which participates in the Financial Supervisory Service's "One Company, One School Financial Education" program, plans to actively utilize this video in on-site education to maximize educational synergy in the future.
