On June 19, CJ ENM announced that it participated in the core program, the '2026 International Streaming Summit,' held at the Haneul Theater of Busan Cinema Center on June 18 as part of the '2026 Korea International Streaming Festival (KISF)', where the company shared its global expansion strategy for K-content.

During the special session titled 'Success Strategies for K-Variety Shows in the Global Market,' Saehee Jang, Head of Department at CJ ENM, led the discussion, joined by Sunyoung Lee, CP at Mnet, Wonwoong Lee, CP at tvN, and Jounghwan Kim, Professor at Korea University's School of Media and Communication, as panelists.

Professor Kim observed, "From 'I Can See Your Voice' in the past to the recent 'Couple Palace,' Korea has evolved from benchmarking overseas formats to becoming a market that leads global trends." He further advised, "For K-variety shows to enjoy long-term success, it is important to adopt strategies for expanding intellectual property (IP) through digital and short-form content, as well as implementing detailed localization strategies tailored to the cultures of each region."

The panelists explained, using 'Couple Palace' and 'I Am Boxer' as examples, how planning ideas gain traction internationally. 'Couple Palace' won the Gold Award in the Light Entertainment category at the 2025 Venice TV Awards and recently signed remake deals with 10 European countries. 'I Am Boxer,' released on Disney+, entered the global top 10 immediately after its broadcast and maintained its ranking for five consecutive weeks.

Another session addressed cases of innovation in K-pop platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Junghyuk Park, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of CJ ENM Mnet Plus, stated, "Fan-centric platforms are a key axis for K-content to expand onto the global stage." Hyunseok Seo, Head of Tech Innovation at Studio Dragon, explained, "AI technology is actively utilized throughout the planning and production of dramas," adding, "AI is not just a support tool but a core technology that is transforming the paradigm of content creation."
