Pulmuone Food & Culture Launches New Menu in Collaboration with Jeollanam-do and Wando-gun
Pulmuone Food & Culture announced on the 19th that it will collaborate with Jeollanam-do and Wando-gun to introduce a new "Local Economy" menu featuring Wando abalone at 16 highway rest stops operated by the company.
This new menu is the first result of the "Jeonnam Seafood Local Economy Restaurant Product Development Business Agreement" signed with Jeollanam-do and Wando-gun in March. Under this agreement, Jeollanam-do and Wando-gun provide administrative and financial support to ensure a stable supply of Wando abalone, while Pulmuone Food & Culture is responsible for developing specialized highway rest stop menus and handling promotion and marketing for the new offerings.

The signature dish, "Wando Abalone Pork Clear Soup," is a restorative dish developed with Wando abalone and pork simmered in broth, available at Gongju Rest Stop (northbound) and Osu Rest Stop (southbound). Other menu items, such as "Wando Abalone Soft Tofu Stew," which highlights the umami of Wando abalone combined with the spicy flavor of soft tofu stew, as well as "Wando Abalone Fish Cake Skewer Ramen," "Wando Abalone Fish Cake Skewer Udon," and "Wando Abalone Spicy Fish Cake Skewer Udon," are offered at 16 rest stops nationwide, tailored to the characteristics of each location.
In addition, through unmanned sales stations within the rest stops, products made with Wando abalone, such as Wando Prepared Whole Abalone and Wando Shell Abalone, are also available for purchase. For customer convenience, dedicated frozen storage facilities and insulated bags have been provided, enabling travelers to buy local specialty products at the rest stops.
Pulmuone Food & Culture will also launch a promotional campaign to boost Wando abalone consumption alongside the release of the new menu. From July 10 to July 12, for three days, free tasting events featuring grilled abalone with butter and promotional activities for Wando abalone will be held at Gongju Rest Stop (Daejeon-bound), Gimje Rest Stop (Saemangeum-bound), Haman Rest Stop (Suncheon-bound), and Osu Rest Stop (Gwangyang-bound).
During the event, a 30% discount will be offered on the new Wando abalone menu items and unmanned sales products. The discount event will begin at a total of eight locations, covering both directions at Gongju, Gimje, Haman, and Osu rest stops, and will be expanded to 16 locations, including Hyeonpung, Iseo, Ansan, Yeongsan, Hampyeong, and Oedong rest stops, by October.
