Big Bang to Make Comeback and Launch World Tour for 20th Anniversary
Spotlight on Next-Generation IPs Including BabyMonster and Treasure
As the top artist Big Bang prepares for a full-fledged comeback and tour, securities analysts are forecasting an expansion in YG Entertainment’s performance.
Minha Choi, a researcher at Samsung Securities, commented on YG Entertainment, “With Big Bang’s comeback marking their 20th anniversary, as well as continued growth from BabyMonster and Treasure, and the planned debut of a new boy group in the second half of the year, we expect both stable growth from existing IP and an expanded new lineup. The effects of the strengthened artist portfolio, which has been in preparation, are becoming visible and YG Entertainment is expected to enter a phase of significant performance growth.”
The target price was set at 71,000 won, which is 47% higher than the current share price of 48,300 won, and the analyst maintained a ‘Buy’ investment rating.
From the second half of this year, YG Entertainment’s artists will begin full-scale activities. Big Bang, marking their 20th anniversary since debut, is scheduled to release a new album and embark on a world tour. So far, performances have been announced for 18 cities with 31 concerts at stadium and dome venues. Additional cities and dates are expected to be announced sequentially.
Choi noted, “Through their April Coachella performance, Big Bang proved their enduring global influence and artist competitiveness. With their first full-group world tour in about nine years, not only is concert revenue expected to rise, but also indirect sales such as MD and merchandise. Additionally, since the group has announced plans for a new album, it is highly likely that new releases will coincide with the tour, contributing to growth in both album and digital music sales.”
The analyst also highlighted the growth of YG Entertainment’s next-generation lineup. Choi added, “The girl group BabyMonster, leveraging their expanded global fandom, is set to begin their second world tour at the end of this month, which is larger in scale than the previous one, and is expected to drive growth in concert and MD revenue.” In the second quarter of this year, BabyMonster sold 742,762 copies of their album ‘Chum,’ the highest sales among all YG artists during that period.

Choi went on to say, “Treasure is also expanding their reach by continuing fan concerts following the release of their new album, and is expected to broaden their base through unit and solo activities in the second half of the year.” From June 19 to September, Treasure will hold their fan concert ‘The Stage 2026’ three times in Korea and 17 times across seven cities in Japan.
