SPG to Participate in North America's Largest Automation Exhibition 'Automate 2026' for Fourth Consecutive Year
SPG, a company specializing in actuators and precision reducers for humanoids, will participate in North America's largest automation exhibition to showcase its core robot component technologies and expand its presence in the global market.
SPG announced on the 18th that it will attend "Automate 2026," which will be held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, for four days starting June 22. With this participation, SPG will have attended the event for four consecutive years since 2023, and plans to continue targeting the global robotics and automation market, including North America.
At this exhibition, SPG will unveil a range of products, including its self-developed humanoid joint actuator (SDD), precision reducers for industrial and collaborative robots, precision planetary reducers for factory automation (FA), compact geared motors, and customized special reducer motors.
The company plans to highlight its mass production capabilities, which enable it to supply essential drive components for robots and automation systems using its own technology, reinforcing its competitiveness as a comprehensive component solution provider capable of responding to next-generation manufacturing environments.
This year, SPG will operate a joint booth with three domestic robotics startups—HarmonyGate, Coras Robotics, and RoboRizon. The strategy is to directly demonstrate to global customers how SPG’s core components are applied in real robot applications, showcasing their technical prowess.
HarmonyGate will present "Vivo-Leg," an AI robotic prosthetic leg that combines physical AI technology developed by the HUBO research team and SPG’s actuator (SDD).
Vivo-Leg is a next-generation robotic prosthetic leg that uses sensors to detect the user's movements and intentions in real time, enabling forward and backward walking as well as obstacle traversal in various scenarios. This technology is drawing attention for improving gait stability and mobility for individuals with lower limb amputations.
Coras Robotics will introduce its robot tooling system "KR-RTS" for the first time, which enables automatic tool changes for work tools using only the robot's movement, without the need for additional pneumatic devices or electric motors. Based on magnetic coupling power transmission technology, the system allows the use of more than 15 compatible mechanical tools without cable changes.
RoboRizon will present a next-generation modular robot platform that enables flexible robot expansion based on a hexahedral symmetric extension structure. This product features a global original patent and international standards in the single-module robot field, and allows for quick robot development and AI camera integration with just one module, attracting interest in the next-generation robotics and edge education markets.
SPG has expanded its presence in the North American market by conducting business activities targeting global manufacturers and establishing an overseas distributor network. Through this exhibition, the company aims to further strengthen its market competitiveness by showcasing its high-precision actuator and precision reducer technologies alongside its partners' robot solutions.
Yeonggil Yeo, CEO of SPG, said, "SPG has continuously focused on active marketing and building a global distributor network, targeting not only the domestic market but also major global manufacturers. At Automate 2026, we will present SPG’s high-precision actuator and precision reducer technology together with our partners’ advanced robot solutions to establish ourselves as a leading Korean brand in the rapidly growing North American robotics and automation market."
