Focus AI Internalizes ULL and SGE Server Technologies
Focus AI is set to expand its in-house solution business in the field of security artificial intelligence (AI) CCTV and network cameras.
On June 18, Focus AI announced that it has signed an exclusive license agreement with Waversys Systems for ultra-low latency (ULL) video transmission technology and slot-expandable intelligent edge server (SGE) technology.
With this agreement, Focus AI will be able to exclusively pursue sales of products utilizing these technologies, as well as the development of its own solutions in the security AI CCTV and network camera sectors. The contract period is three years and will be automatically extended if certain sales requirements are met.
The ULL technology minimizes transmission delays in conventional video surveillance systems to enable near real-time video streaming. This allows control centers to identify on-site situations more quickly and respond immediately. SGE is an intelligent edge server technology that enables AI computation to be performed on site and is equipped with an NPU-based AI accelerator, allowing for immediate analysis of video data in the field. It also adopts a physically separated dual network structure to enhance both security and stability.
