Kyobo Life Insurance Makes Insurance Payout Results Easier to Understand: "Detailed Breakdown at a Glance"
Kyobo Life Insurance announced on June 18 that it has launched a new service allowing customers to check detailed insurance payout information through KakaoTalk notifications sent at the time of payment.
This new insurance payout details inquiry service is characterized by not only providing information on the paid insurance benefits but also clearly indicating items excluded from compensation. Customers can check the amount paid for each coverage item, such as surgery, hospitalization, and diagnosis, as well as view details by treatment type—including outpatient care, prescription dispensing, and manual therapy—by date. This enables them to immediately see what is and is not covered.
In particular, for indemnity health insurance, many customers have found it difficult to understand the payout results due to the complexity of coverage items, out-of-pocket expenses, and reasons for exclusions. Kyobo Life Insurance expects that by offering clearer guidance on the breakdown of insurance payouts and excluded items, the new service will reduce customer misunderstandings and questions, and enhance trust in the payout process.
Chang-Jae Shin, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Kyobo Life Insurance, emphasized in this year’s New Year’s address that "We must effectively communicate the value of customer protection at every stage of the insurance period—including enrollment, contract maintenance, and payout," and further stressed the importance of "delivering complete protection and taking the lead in financial consumer protection."
