Trump: "A Copy of the MOU Was Delivered to Israel"
The Times of Israel (TOI) reported on June 17 (local time), citing senior U.S. officials, that reports claiming Israel requested access to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a ceasefire agreement with Iran from the United States and was denied are not true.
U.S. officials told TOI, "Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu never asked us for a copy of the MOU," adding, "He may not have seen the final document yet, but that does not mean he is unaware of the progress being made." They continued, "It is possible that the full text of the MOU has not been delivered to Prime Minister Netanyahu in the past day or two; however, we have been in constant communication with him, so he has been aware of what is included throughout the negotiation process."
Previously, foreign media outlets reported that the Israeli government had requested the full text of the MOU from the United States but was refused, leading to growing controversy both inside and outside Israel. As questions arose about whether Prime Minister Netanyahu was being used by the United States, there was significant criticism from the political sphere.
U.S. officials stated, "While the Prime Minister has expressed skepticism about whether the MOU will actually be implemented, he assessed that it would be a significant achievement if carried out as planned." The Israeli Prime Minister's Office is reported to have declined to comment officially on the matter.

U.S. President Donald Trump also dismissed rumors of discord with Israel by stating that he had delivered a copy of the MOU to Israel. At a press conference following the conclusion of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, Trump stated, "A copy of this agreement was delivered to Israel," adding, "Israel is a great partner, though I think they could have handled the Hezbollah issue a bit better." However, he did not disclose when the copy was delivered.
