VaizenCell to Participate in BIO USA... Pursuing Global Collaboration with Cell Therapy Technology

New drug development company VaizenCell announced on June 17 that it will participate in '2026 BIO USA', which will be held in San Diego, USA, from June 22 to 25.
BIO USA is a global pharmaceutical and biotech event organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) of the United States, serving as a leading partnering event where pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as investors from around the world, gather to discuss technology collaboration and business opportunities.
At this event, VaizenCell plans to engage in cooperation discussions with global companies, focusing on its key pipeline, 'VC101 (VT-EBV-N)'. VC101 recorded a 4-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate of 95% and a 4-year overall survival (OS) rate of 100% in a randomized, double-blind clinical trial targeting EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus) positive lymphoma patients.
Based on these results, consecutive oral presentations were given at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Hematology Association (EHA), and the therapy was recently designated as the first beneficiary for advanced regenerative medicine treatment by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
VaizenCell also plans to continue discussions on collaboration for 'VC302', an allogeneic cell therapy in development for glioblastoma. VC302 is an iPSC-derived GD2-targeted CAR-NK cell therapy being co-developed with Therabest, which utilizes an immune function enhancement platform technology.
In preclinical studies, its tumor-targeting ability in vitro and in vivo persistence were improved by more than five times compared to existing cells, and a complete response (CR) effect was confirmed in the intracerebroventricular administration group in a glioblastoma animal model. In addition, as an allogeneic cell-based therapy, it has demonstrated potential for mass production and immediate administration as an off-the-shelf treatment.
