Along with this, a handwritten apology letter from the building manager regarding the complaint was also released.
The publicly disclosed letter read, "I respectfully address our resident. Recently, with the weather getting hotter, a resident reported feeling disgusted and nauseated after sharing the elevator with a janitorial staff member while they were on duty."
The manager continued, "I apologize. I will thoroughly instruct the staff and educate them not to ride the elevator with residents. However, please understand that the janitorial staff are moving between their assigned areas, cleaning the dirtiest and most uncomfortable places."
The letter also stated, "Please know that they work so hard that their underwear is soaked with sweat," adding, "Even if you are inconvenienced, I ask you to be a little more understanding and generous. We will do our best to work even harder."
