Board of Directors Resolves Bonus Issue on June 16
Total Issued Shares to Increase from 16,543,115 to 29,777,607
Gaon Cable, an LS Group affiliate specializing in wires and cables, is launching a bonus issue to enhance shareholder value, leveraging its performance in the artificial intelligence (AI) data center market.
Gaon Cable announced on June 17 that its board of directors held a meeting on June 16 and resolved to conduct a bonus issue to enhance shareholder value and broaden the investor base.
The allocation ratio for the new shares in this bonus issue is 0.8 shares of common stock for every 1 share held. As a result, the total number of issued shares will increase from 16,543,115 to 29,777,607. The record date for the allocation of new shares is July 1, 2026.
Jung Hyun, CEO of Gaon Cable, stated, "The decision for this bonus issue was made to share the company’s growth achievements with our shareholders," adding, "We will continue to drive growth centered on the AI data center power infrastructure market while simultaneously enhancing both corporate and shareholder value."
Recently, Gaon Cable has been strengthening its AI data center power infrastructure business. Based on power solutions that cover transmission and distribution—including cables, cable buses, and busducts—the company is accelerating its expansion into the North American market in partnership with its U.S. subsidiary, LSCUS. In particular, by expanding the supply of power infrastructure worth several trillion won to global big tech and generative AI companies, Gaon Cable is securing new growth engines.
