Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is joining forces with Remondo, an aerospace startup based in Israel and the United States, to target the ultra-high-resolution satellite market.

View original imageOn June 16, at the Daejeon Convention Center during the '2026 International Space Conference (ISS 2026),' KAI announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Remondo to collaborate on ultra-high-resolution Earth observation satellites.
The two companies will combine KAI's satellite platform with Remondo's Partial Aperture Imaging System (PAIS) optical payload technology to develop ultra-high-resolution Earth observation satellite solutions with a resolution of 30 cm or less, which can be utilized in defense, public, and private sectors.
With this partnership, KAI plans to expand its business scope beyond satellite system and bus development to include the payload sector as well.
