Pilot Operation Begins at Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land Infant Forest Experience Center
Forest Education Facility Registration Complete
Programs Now Available for Local Infants
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on June 16 that the Infant Forest Experience Center within the Anti-Aging Healing Land has completed registration as a forest education facility with the Korea Forest Service and has begun pilot operations.
This registration marks the first Infant Forest Experience Center to be registered in Geochang County, making it possible to operate forest education programs for local infants.
The Infant Forest Experience Center is a forest education facility designed to enable young children to engage in various hands-on activities within the forest and nature. Geochang County plans to utilize the forest resources of the Anti-Aging Healing Land to offer a variety of programs, including forest play, ecological experiences, nature observation, and forest exploration.

To ensure stable operations of the center, Geochang County has secured 30 million won in national and provincial funding for next year's operating expenses. The budget will be used for the placement of forest education instructors, operation of experience programs, purchase of educational equipment, and facility maintenance and management.
Shin-yeo Kang, Head of the Forestry Division, stated, "With the registration of the Infant Forest Experience Center, local infants now have access to forest education programs," adding, "We will strive to create a safe experiential environment and manage the programs effectively."
The Infant Forest Experience Center is not merely a play area but a venue for forest education where children can learn and grow in nature. The registration of this facility by Geochang County is significant in that it provides a foundation for local infants to access more systematic forest experience programs.

The Infant Forest Experience Center can become a leading forest education space for the region only when the recruitment of professional instructors, safety management, and the development of seasonal programs are continuously supported.
