Chan Wai will hold a book talk with translator Bae Moonjoo at the Taiwan booth on June 26 and have a conversation with novelist Jo Haejin at the Book Fair’s bookmark event on June 27.
There are also plans for special limited editions. The mini poetry book “We Have Good Arms for Loving,” which garnered attention last year as a neighborhood bookstore exclusive, will be reissued in three colored hanji (traditional Korean paper) editions. Lee Miruk’s novel “The Yalu River Flows” will also be released as a hanji edition. Kim Hwajin’s new novel “The Devil Lives Diligently” will be unveiled as the 58th book in the “Young Writers of Today” series, and the author’s signing event will take place at the Minumsa booth on June 24.
The international lineup includes the autobiographical essay “The Ninth Body” by Taiwanese author Chen Sihong. The book, written by the author of the global bestseller “Ghosts' Land,” recounts the journey from growing up as a young LGBTQ literary figure to arriving in Berlin, Germany. Chen Sihong will participate in the Book Fair’s bookmark program book talk on June 25 and hold a signing session at the Minumsa booth on June 27.

This work was selected as one of the “First Books of Summer” at the 2026 Seoul International Book Fair. Set in a unified Korea, it is a mystery sci-fi novel tracing the whereabouts of a kidnapped robot girl. Media Res, the production company behind the drama “Pachinko,” has decided to adapt the novel for the screen, and an SF discussion between writers Kim Choyeop and Park Jisun will be held on June 28.
Hwanggeumgaji will also unveil a limited-edition ghost story set and, for the first time, release the “Open All Year Dungeon” series by Yu Geonjo in print. Volumes 2 and 3 of “Lee Youngdo’s Transcription Notes,” featuring key sentences by author Lee Youngdo, will also be released. At the Book Fair, an ongoing event will allow readers to hand-copy passages and leave messages for Lee Youngdo.
