Bank of Korea to Host "Currency Love Content Contest" for Youth
Applications Accepted from June 15 to August 26
The Bank of Korea announced on the 16th that it will host the "Currency Love Content Contest" to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of counterfeit currency circulation and to highlight the importance of proper currency usage habits.
The Currency Love Content Contest, first held in 2014, is now in its 13th year. This year's contest requires individuals or teams (of up to four members) to select either the general category (25 to 65 seconds) or the short-form category (25 to 35 seconds), and submit a video accordingly.
Participants may choose one of five topics: preventing the distribution of counterfeit and fake money, complying with currency design usage standards, ensuring the right to use cash, improving cash accessibility, or using money cleanly.
Applications can be submitted on the Bank of Korea's website from June 17 to August 26. High school and university students aged 15 to 24 (as of the application deadline) are eligible to participate.
The Bank of Korea will select winners by October through a judging committee that will focus on message delivery, originality, and overall quality. Certificates and prize money will be awarded in November.
